Tiled and flat roofs
For a tiled roof, renewal can provide access to improve the build-up. For a flat roof, suitable insulation may be incorporated beneath new bitumen covering. Roof edges, outlets and skylights must still connect correctly.
Costs and VAT
Insulation added to a full renovation has an indicative base price of €70 per m² excluding VAT (€84.70 when calculated entirely at 21%). Qualifying insulation labour on homes older than two years can have 9% VAT; materials remain at 21%. Your quote specifies the actual split.
Is every roof suitable for the same insulation?
No. The structure, available space, ventilation and moisture conditions determine the solution.
Is a subsidy guaranteed?
No. Eligibility depends on the current scheme and its conditions. Check the current RVO requirements before agreeing materials and work.
Can I add insulation during renovation?
Often this is a practical moment, but we first assess the roof and include the agreed work in the quote.
